The NY Times has now set the pace for Digital Editorial: hands down.
The genius of iPad, and all of the tablets to come in its wake, is the technology’s uncanny ability to tell a story in short movie form. The NY Times is definitely at the forefront of this thinking with the exposé named “14 Actors”. The images are absolutely stunning; “mind blowing” would be more accurate a description.
One of my favorite of all of the monologues is the silence of Jesse Eisenberg. Directed by Solve Sundsbo, Eisenberg’s unassuming appearance is quickly eclipsed by his larger than life on screen presence and the quiet rage within the character he portrays in the piece.
The digital age is truly amazing; “Meet George Jetson” is here, and the options in creativity are limitless.
